Why We Built FollowGone

Managing your Instagram following list can feel opaque. Instagram doesn't notify you when someone unfollows you, and third-party tools often ask for your password — a serious security risk.

FollowGone works differently. You export your own data directly from Instagram's settings (no password required), upload it to FollowGone, and we do the analysis. Your credentials never leave your device.

Getting Started

If you haven't tried FollowGone yet, here's how it works in three steps:

1. Export your Instagram data — go to Instagram Settings → Your activity → Download your information, and request your followers/following data in JSON format.
2. Upload to FollowGone — once you receive the ZIP file from Instagram (usually within a few minutes), upload it on your FollowGone dashboard.
3. See your results — FollowGone instantly shows you who unfollowed you, who you follow that doesn't follow back, and tracks changes over time with each new snapshot.

That's it. No passwords. No OAuth permissions. Just your own data, analyzed privately.
